Time and tide waits for none. With this thought we had an Orientation programme for the students of class IX on 8th of April 2017. These students have passed class VIII and have entered class IX, to step in std. X after a year. This is the right time to guide them, motivate them to fill every unforgiving minute with hard labour. The enthusiasm of the parents which could be seen in their presence in a large number gives boost to our effort. The students along with their parents were addressed by Fr. Rector, Fr. Principal, Fr. Vice Principal, XPTA President and teachers. Various areas of concern like punctuality, discipline, rapport with guardians, academics, co curricular activities, uniform were discussed. With the help of simple and inspirational stories Fr. Rector and Fr. Vice Principal left a remarkable impact on the minds of the students. How simple but remarkable to think that boiling water can change the identity of three different things - - - potato, egg and coffee seeds, making soft, hard, changing the identity respectively and none other than a teacher can do so. Child is the crown of creation and their responsibility lies in the hands of the parents and teachers who jointly have to work to make it successful. The parents who have struggled so hard to get their wards admitted in the school very well know what it means to face so many challenges but all their efforts will pay them back, as after two years their wards will graduate from this institution with good marks for which they need to be geared up now . It is not only the academic excellence which propels us but the all round development of the students for which we strive so hard. The parents met the teachers and discussed about their wards which was appreciable and welcomed. We congratulate the School Management for holding such meetings amid so many engagements for the betterment of the students and fulfilling our mission so that we can proudly say, once a Xavierian, always a Xavierian.
