Description: ‘Training as platform for youth and action’.
A seminar was conducted by Equity Foundation as a part of training programme
project ‘OORJA’ at St. Xavier’s High School on 12 th July 2024 on ‘Training as
platform for youth and action’, for XIthers.
The program began at 8.30 a.m. where our trainees, instructors and the Resource
person of the day, Mr. Prakash Kumar were introduced. A brief introduction on
training objectives and agenda was also given. There were two sessions each
consisted of one topic.
The first session was on ‘Child Abuse’. With the help of Power Point Presentation
we were explained what child abuse is, its types, how to deal with it and how and
to whom report an abuse. We gained a lot of information which we wish to share
with others.
In our group we were provided with a pen, notepad and a case study. We were
asked to give suggestions how we would deal with the situation. .
After a break of 15 minutes our next session began. It was on ‘Cyber Crime’.
With the help of PPT we learnt what cyber crime is, its various types, how and to
whom to report the issue.
Apart from these we XIthers were divided into four groups and each group was
assigned 20 minutes with a theme on cyber crime and we had to make posters on
them. At the conclusion of the seminar each one of us was awarded a participation
certificate.
