Description: “We may have different religions, different languages, different Colouredskin, but we all belong to one Human Race.”
On April 25th, 2023, St. Xavier’s High School organized an ‘Inter-Religious Prayer Service’. The event’s main theme was “Humanity is our true religion,” which was depicted in the board decorations. The morning was filled with different religions songs and all the students were in the prayerful mood.
The ceremony commenced with Lighting Of the Lamp by Rev. Fr. Rector Danial Raj, Rev. Fr. Principal K.P. Dominic, senior teachers, and a representative of the student council member. Following this, the coordinators of the three wings garlanded the holy books as a mark of respect.Students and teachers then read passages from the Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy Bible, the Geeta, and the Quran, all of which emphasized love, unconditional faith, the value of good deeds, and harmony among all people. The school choir sang devotional songs, which created a pure and blessed atmosphere.
The school’s management, staff, teachers, and students prayed together for peace, harmony, and the well-being of all in the form of intentions to our supreme Lord. The program concluded with Father Vice Principal Junas Kujur expressing gratitude, followed by all the priests blessing the school building. The event conveyed a message of unity and love among all religions.
