Description: Inter House English Debate Competition, 2017 held on 31st August was organised in the school hall. The co-ordinator of the whole program was Mrs. Madhumita Sen Gupta. The program was started by the master of ceremony, Saksham Chandra of class 10 ICSE, the judges were-

Fr. Vice Principal encouraged the participants with his enthusiastic words. With all these, the stage was set, the participants had seated themselves. So, the chairperson, Sakshi Dubey of class 10-D, Began the debate. The audience were the students of class 8. The participants were introduced and were acquainted with the rules. The debaters presented their views in front of all. Question were asked by the opponents. For class 10, the topic was- “Demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 is a step in right direction”. The debate of class 9 ICSE began after a short break of 10 minutes. The judges were welcomed. The judges were-

The chairperson , Yash Raj of class 9B, introduced the topic – “Coaching classes are a waste of time”. The debaters spoke well. As soon as the debate of class 9 and class 10 Bihar Board began. It was a combined debate. The chairperson Shivang Shukla of class 10-B, carried the debate forward with the debaters putting forth their views for or against the topic – “Parents live their dreams through children”. As the debate came to an end, Fr. Vice Principal addressed the students and appreciated the participants. The students and teachers stood up for the National Anthem. Thus, in this way, the program came to an end.
