Description: After the PTA meetings of classes IX and X, now it was time to boost the students and parents of class VIII. For the purpose the PTA meet for the students of class VIII was held in the school hall in the evening on 29-04-2017. In the scorching heat of the afternoon, the parents showed their concern for their wards by attending the meeting. It started with the prayer song by the students of class VIII, thereafter Fr. Rector welcomed all and stressed the need for quality education which embodies not only academic excellence but all round development also. Dr. Amitabh, the XPTA President, then requested the parents for their cooperation in the development of the students. The coordinator of high school, Mrs. Sucheta Roy then, stressed the need for the students and the parents to be more focused right from the beginning so that a strong foundation is built for the future of the students. For this they need to think something extra to be the best. Fr. Manish, the Vice Principal continued with the idea and said that in the ever changing world we need to strive continuously just like a butterfly which strives to come out of the cocoon stretching its boundaries. Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest holds its importance each and every moment of our life. So our endeavour is not only to make our students, the fittest, but the best human beings who help others as well and serve for God and Country. Practical suggestions for the attainment of the purpose was suggested by Mrs. Anjana Gupta, one of the class teachers of class VIII, that parents should take more interest in the activities of their children by checking their diaries, uniform, work regularly and interact with teachers about the growth of their wards. These things may appear small but play vital role in the upbringing of the children. Fr. Principal reiterated the need of the joint effort of the three pillars of education - - - students, teachers and parents since it is not a mere work but a vocation. Fr. Vice Principal payed the vote of thanks to all and the meeting ended by singing the National Anthem with the hope that such small steps will definitely help in bringing desirable changes in our students.
