On July7,2023 St.Xavier’s High School, Patna organized English literary competition for the students of class I to V. The competition aimed to encourage literary activities among the students and provide a platform for them to showcase their literary skills. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by our respected Principal Rev. Fr. K.P. Dominic SJ, Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Junas Kujur SJ, coordinator Mr. Amar Prakash and our esteemed judges Mrs. Madhumita S.Gupta, Mrs. Sweta Singh and Mrs. Pallavi Srivastava. Fr. K. P. Dominic SJ our Principal gave a very heart provoking motivational speech to build up the confidence of the participants.
The teachers from English department took an active part in organizing different activities and preparing the students for the competition. There were 60 participants competing with each other on various literary activities i.e speech, show and tell, poem recitation, storytelling and declamation. The students presented their oratory skills on the stage with great zeal keeping in mind the pronunciation, diction, articulation, intonation etc. required to be the winner. It was a pleasure to witness them delivering their speech with conviction and promptness.
The literary competition proved to be a great learning experience for all the students, who, not only improved their literary skills but also gained confidence and exposure. It was an excellent opportunity for all the students to come together and appreciate the power of words and literature.
At the end of the competition Mrs. Madhumita S. Gupta one of the judges summed up her observation and appreciated the zealous efforts of all the participants while giving them a few moretips to become a better orator.The winners were facilitated by the Principal of our school and the coordinator Mr. Amar Prakash.
Mr. Amar Prakash, the coordinator expressed his words of gratitude in very calm and composed manner, thanking everyone by name for their hard work and generous contribution to make the event a successful one. Above all the constant support and guidance of Mr. Amar Prakash has played a very vital role for the peaceful execution of this competition. English literary competition came to an end with the melodious echo of our school song.
