Description: National festivals holds much importance for us as it is celebrated by all the citizens with fanfare and zest. It binds all of us with the same thread of brotherhood irrespective of all differences. This year also our school celebrated the 68th Republic Day with full enthusiasm. It was a cold January morning but all of us, the teachers and the students along with the staff and managing body gathered in the school at 7 O' clock with their hearts kindled with the fire of patriotism. Fr. Principal hoisted the tricolor and all of us saluted our national flag. It was followed by singing of the National Anthem. The stage was decorated with balloons of tricolor, the flag post was surrounded with rings of tricolors. Our Preamble which was garlanded was kept at the flag post. The whole ambiance was charged with none but the strong feeling of nationalism and even our school choir added to the it. A student from V and one from plus 2 read out the message on the special occasion. A mono act on the life of Mahatma Gandhi was presented by the students of plus 2. It was wonderful as it depicted the message of non violence. Finally Fr. Principal in his speech addressed everyone making us realize our duty to keep India free from all evils and the initiative starts from the school. By now the sun was peeping through the clouds and it's warmth added to our warm feeling. The short and sweet programme ended with lots of applause and the distribution of cakes to all. It was really a very special day as it drenched everyone is the same colour of nationalism and we strongly say 'My Country My Family' which was the theme of academic year , 2016__17.Such programmes are the need of the day to fill up the cracks which are developing in our country. Our school with its motto 'For God and Country' very well fulfills its mission and looks forward to build a strong India with firm foundation.
