Description: TEACHER’S DAY 2018(Primary+High School)
Teacher’s Day was celebrated in St. Xavier’s School on 5th Sept’2018. Music, dance, drama, games, fun incorporating all artistic form made it a special Teacher’s Day at St. Xavier’s under the able guidance of our school. President Mridul Kumar and Commander-in-chief Ankit Sahay. The fabulous anchors of our school Vinayak Prakash, Firdous Hassan, Shatakshi Khushi and Sweety hosted the programme. It all began with volunteers giving the guard of honour to their mentors, followed by lighting the lamp which officially marked the start of programme. Welcome song, a blend of cosmic tune and divine music accompanied by the Prayer dance was performed by the students.
Fr. Christu our school Principal gave the definition of a teacher in his own words.
A cute dance was performed by the tiny-tots of the pre-primary section. Two of our senior most teachers Bandana Ghosal and Vijay Kumar Pandey shared their feelings and experiences about the noble profession of teaching. In continuation the gratitude was shown to the teachers by the beautiful gracious dance by the students of primary section.
Dr.Amitabh (XPTA President) delivered his speech on Teacher’s Day. School president, Mridul kumar recited a fantastic poetic speech thanking all the teachers for their love and care that they bestow upon us.Then came the skit of a thrilling comic genre written by Ravindra Kumar and Mrs. Mamta. It presented the two most sensitive topics-the heroism of a teacher and the devastating effects of social networking sites.
The mesmerising performance of the school band was praised and well appreciated.
Gaming round ’The Lucky Draw’ was conducted by Aryan Kashyap and Vinayak Prakash which was enjoyable.
At last the students presented western dance which was thrilling.
The celebration came to an end by the Vote of Thanks by Father Devashish or Vice Principal followed by National Anthem.
