Description: Discussions, debates and even arguments are fruitful of done with an open Mend.
English Debate competition was organized for the students of Std. 11 & 12 on 02
November, 2023.This was the first time a debate competition was for the
ISC students. The topic for std 11 was “We are living a better life than our
forefathers “and the topic for std 12 was “Electronic gadgets have made human
life easier”. Altogether 16 participants were part of this competition. The contest
began with the lighting of the lamp by Fr principal,fr vice principal and the
esteemed judges. It was followed by Fr. Principal address in which he emphasized
upon the importance of debate contest in a student’s life and declared the
competition open, The de3bate competition was the kaleidoscope of opinions,
thoughts and perspectives presented by the young debtors who left no stone
unturned to prove their mettle. The competition was adjudged by Mrs.Hasuli
Ghosh Dastidar,faculty of Carmel high school,Mrs.Sucheta Roy, faculty of plus
two(Bihar board) and Dr.Rekha Singh, faculty of the primary wing of our school.
Then began the competition wherein each participant spoke his/her mind on
rationale of the topics given. This led to a wide spectrum of contrasting views.
Arguments were made and roved. The competition was truly enriching with the
exchange of students’ perspectives. The contest concluded with a vote of thanks
proposed by Fr.Vice principal. this competition provided an excellent platform for
students to showcase their critical thinking, public speaking and analytical skills.
such competitions boost the confidence of the students and provide them an
opportunity to express their opinions in a structured and organized manner. The
