Description: St. Xavier’s High School also celebrated this day with zeal and enthusiasm. The Principal of the school Fr. Jacob O. A, SJ was the chief guest. He hoisted the National Flag in the school sharp at 7:00 a.m. All the students and teachers saluted the Flag and sang the national anthem.
The Patriotic group song was wonderfully presented by the school choir. This was followed by a speech delivered by a student of class V. Thereafter the beautiful Aerobic dance on the lyrics of Vande Mataram was presented by students of class 12th. There was another beautiful presentation of colourful dance by the students of High school.
In the end Principal delivered a short speech. He told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs gave for the sake of freedom. He asked the students to follow the Ideals of our great leaders who gave their lives for the freedom of our country.
Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Fr. Vice Principal Fr. Christu Savarirajan, SJ.
