Description: If growth is a Rocket, Nursery Rhymes act like rocket fuel for child’s development. At St. Xavier’s High School, we believe in learning with each and every small thing we do.
In Order to develop the child’s phonological awareness and the boost their vocabulary. St Xavier’s KidZone conducted ‘English Rhyme Recitation Competition’ for the students of LKG. The competition was organized on 28th of July 2022.
Rhymes help in the development of early literary, communication and language as well as develop their fine and gross motor skills. It is a very powerful learning source and children love reciting and acting to these rhymes.
The competition started with great enthusiasm. 40 participants from different sections took part with great zeal and recited their rhymes with confidence. Popular and melodious rhymes like ‘Two little hands’, ‘Bits of paper’, ‘Baa-Baa Black Sheep’, Wheels of the bus’, Incy-Wincy spider’ etc. were recited by the little ones.
The judges for the competition were Mrs. Rajshree Narain and Miss Deeksha Valarie. Principal Fr. A Christu Savarirajan S.J. and Vice- Principal Fr. Junas Kujur S.J. were present to encourage and motivate the kids. The performance of all the children was praiseworthy. The competition was concluded with vote of thanks by the coordinator of KidZone Mrs. Shivani Bhaskar. The competition not only helped children enjoy a fun filled day but also helped them boost their confidence and creativity.
