Description: Declamation is about redelivering of an important or famous speech. The speaker reinterprets the original, reproducing its power. It is a very good exercise for public speaker skills. Declamation competition was held for the students of class 8th on 2-07-22, the second day of the English literary fest, 2022, in the Xavier Hall of the School. There were twenty participants, eight from Bihar board and twelve from ICSE board. The students delivered the speech of famous personalities like --Swami Vivekananda, Muniba Mazari, Malala Yousafzai etc.
Speech is power, speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel. Debate contest was held for the students of class 9th. The topic for Bihar Board was ‘Technology makes us smarter’ and the topic for ICSE was ‘Life’s best lessons are learnt from friends’. The organizing committee headed by Dr. Punam Gupta along with all the English teachers successfully conducted the competitions. The judges of the day were Mrs. Rekha Singh, Mrs. Shagufta Parveen and Mrs. Mamta. In debate altogether twenty students participated.
