Description: Diwali is the festival of lights symbolizing the victory of light over the darkness.
Diya symbolizes goodness and purity and lighting them denotes dispelling
darkness and going into light. In order to bring out the creative talents of our kindergarten students and to explore their imagination and unique ideas for decoration, KidZone of St. Xavier’s High School organized a Diya Decoration Activity for UKG on 14th October 2022. Children brought two earthen painted diyas from home and they enjoyed decorating them along with their parents in school. They used different decorating materials like sequins, laces, stones and crystals. The school wore a festive look as children and their parents decorated the diyas.
All the students as well as their parents participated enthusiastically in the activity.
It was a sheer pleasure and great experience for all of us. Our little ones learnt
about the culture and the tradition of the festival of lights “Diwali”.
The event ended up with the Diwali Donation by the parents for the needy people.
All of them contributed generously with the thought of spreading the light in the
needy’s houses too. All the parents and children enjoyed a lot and went home
happily.
