Description: A wise man once said, "After nourishment, shelter and companionship stories are the things we need most in the world". It's the stories that give wings to our imagination and take us to places is beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. Since time immemorial story telling has been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going on and to incite curiosity and the love for reading in children, St. Xavier’s High School organized and English Story Telling Competition for KidZone UKG children on 4th October 2023 in Loyola Hall. The program started with the welcoming of the judges with the bouquet and card (made by the KidZone children) followed by the prayer song. After the prayer song our principal Fr. K.P.Dominic SJ. gave a motivational speech to motivate the confidence of the students.
The young, enthusiastic story teller came forth with wonderful tales. While some stories like Thirsty Crow, The Lion and The Mouse, The proud rose gave the audience food for thought and some reinforced moral values.
The stories where adjudged on the basis of expression, confidence, voice modulation and presentation skills of the children. The event was thoroughly by the judges Mrs. Anita Singh and Mrs. Sheba Naaz. The vote of thanks was proposed by our KidZone co-ordinator, Mrs. Shivani Bhaskar. The little storytellers won everyone’s heart, and where upload applauded.
