Description: “What is Christmas ? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for
the future.”
It is rightly said that Christmas is a festival of merriment. It is not just only a
festival, there are lot of feelings and emotions behind it. The Christmas Season is
the significance of rebirth and revival…the birth of hope and happiness. It refills us
with the feelings of humanity, love, devotion and so many that it can’t be
expressed in words. Each and every thing used in Christmas has its symbol and
significance.
To marks the auspicious beginning of the Christmas season, our school St.
Xavier’s organized a Christmas Cultural Programme on 22 nd December, 2022.
This programme was successfully headed by our Programme Leaders – Mrs
Jacinta, Ms. Priti and Mrs. Apurwa along with the contribution of our Principal,
Fr. A. Christu Savarirajan, S.J.
Prayer is the only means of reaching the divine soul. The Prayer Dance at the
beginning conducted by the high school students created an holy atmosphere. It is
rightly said that there is no Christmas without carols. The Christmas carol by the
students was melodious enough to enrich in us the feelings of hope and happiness.
Guidance by Teachers is superior to anything. The words of our Beloved Fr.
Rector truly insisted in us the Christmas vibes. Carol Dance by the Kidzone kids
gave us a messages that actually Christmas is not a Festival to worry or stress
about, it’s a festival of Joy and to surrender to the almighty. To take up the
students to the time of the holy birth of Jesus, a beautiful, well presented skit was
performed by the students. Dance by the Primary and Plus Two filled us with
enthusiasum of celebrating this divine festival. Next to this was the Inspirational
Message by our Father Principal. With his words and explanations, we learnt the
real meaning of Christmas and also the importance of values like love and charity.
Won’t Christmas be less joyful without santa…..? To win over the hearts of the
small children and to bring a smile on their face, our teacher costumed as Santa
and distributed sweets and chocolates among the children, lastly, to bring an end to
this grand cultural programme, our Father Vice Principal thanked each and every
student, teacher and staff who were directly or indirectly involved in making the
program a successful one.
With the contribution of each and everyone, this programme was smoothly carried
out till its effectiveness in expressing the real value of ‘Christmas’.
