Description: 2nd Shyama Prasad Memorial Sit and Draw Painting Competition While words are expressions of mind; Painting is the expression of soul! Where the vocabulary ends, imagination begins. The evergreen vibrant colours fill our monotonous, busy lives with more joy and energy. To provide wings to students’ creativity, our school organized a painting competition for the students of standard III to X. I t was held first at the school level on 29th September, 2019. A good number of students participated in the competition and expressed their ideas. The topic for the students of standard I – II was ‘I LOVE TREES’ and ‘I LOVE HEALTHY FOOD’. The topic for classes III – V was ‘MY BEST DREAM’ and ‘IF I HAD WINGS’. The topic for classes VI and VII was ‘MONUMENTS OF BIHAR ’. The students of classes VIII to X showcased their talents on the topic ‘Humpty Dumpty had a Fall’ and ‘Famous painting of a great painter’. Many junior artists were awarded for their paintings at the school level. The following day, almost twenty – six schools came to our campus to participate in the inter- school painting competition .A fountain of fine Arts sprinkled the campus with its beauty . Competition started at 9:30 a.m. and went on till 10:40 a.m. Refreshments were distributed and after a break of fifteen minutes, Father Principal hosted the game HOUSY. All the students from different schools including the teachers participated in the game and won many gifts. Then it was the time for the breath - taking moment, that is, the time for declaration of results. The heartbeats paused for a while. The Alumni association awarded the students with many prizes .From category A Sangeeta from Sister Nivedita Balika Vidyalaya got the first prize , Yukta Singh from St. Michael’s High School got the second prize and Shams Ali from Loyola High School was awarded with the third prize. In category B, Rakshita Singh from Notre Dame Academy stood first, Apuva Neha from Notre Dame Academy stood second and Saumya Srivastava stood from St. Xavier’s High School stood third. The judges’ choice ‘BEST OF BEST’ champion trophy was awarded to Anumeha of Carmel High School. With this we came to the end of the event. The Judges of the competition were felicitated. Father Vice Principal concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
